Tecnis.Multifocal

Modern Multifocal implant

The Tecnis Multifocal lens combines the benefit of the original Tecnis monofocal lens which demonstrably reduced spherical aberration and improved contrast sensitivity in low light conditions. The lens is a "Diffractive" multifocal lens extending out to a wide diameter and thus reduces the issue of reduced reading ability in dim light conditions. Overall the lens is not too different in performance to the Acri.LISAwhich also reduces spherical aberration,

The lens like other multifocals can affect intermediate vision as well as produce night halos for a period of time after surgery.
