Sheraz M. Daya MD FACP FACS FRCS(Ed) FRCOphth
Cornea, Anterior Segment, Cataract and Keratorefractive surgery

Sheraz Daya is also the Medical Director of Centre for Sight.
He has an NHS appointment where he is Director and Consultant of the Corneoplastic Unit and Eye Bank, Queen Victoria Hospital. Mr. Daya is a key opinion leader for the ophthalmic industry and is highly regarded nationally and internationally. He serves on numerous boards and committees and is also the chief medical editor of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today.
Mr. Daya was also the winner of the “Leadership in Improvement” category of the Best of Health Awards, South East England.

Marcela Espinosa-Lagana MD
Cornea, Keratorefractive and Paediatric Ophthalmology |

Miss Espinosa is a Director of Centre for Sight. Her medical education and initial specialty training was undertaken in Mexico. She trained in Cornea and Keratorefractive Surgery at CODET, Tijuana under Arturo Chayet, MD. She was Professor ad-Honorem at the University of Costa Rica and then joined Lasersight Inc. where she worked as a medical consultant and advisor.
She emigrated to the UK in 1998. Miss Espinosa worked in Spain as a consultant in 2003 and then underwent further specialty fellowship training in Paediatric Ophthalmology at Great Ormond St. Hospital, London.
In addition to the UK, Miss Espinosa is registered to practice in Spain where she is also on the specialist register. She is registered with the General Medical Council and currently awaiting ratification of the decision in regard to specialty recognition. |

Osama Giledi FRCS(Ed)
Cornea, Anterior Segment, Cataract and Keratorefractive |
|
Mr. Giledi originates from Libya. He trained in Ophthalmology in the UK for over 6 years. He underwent Fellowship training in Cornea, Anterior Segment and Keratorefractive Surgery at the Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital under the directorship of Sheraz Daya. He joined Centre for Sight in 2003. Mr. Giledi undertook the position of locum consultant until April 2008 at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust and alternated with Mr. Daya working every other week in the NHS.
Mr Giledi is experienced in diagnosis and treatment of complex corneal conditions including refractive surgery problems from other centres. Mr Giledi participates in teaching at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and has several international presentations and publications. |

Saj Khan MB BS FRCS(Ed)
Cornea, Anterior Segment and Keratorefractive |

Mr. Khan recently joined CFS following completion of a Cornea, Anterior Segment and Keratorefractive surgery fellowship under the direction of Sheraz Daya.
Mr. Khan has also trained in Paediatric Ophthalmology at Great Ormond St. Hospital for Sick Children, London and also undertook a research fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Institute of Child Health, looking at the nature and causes of visual problems experienced by children with craniosynostoses. |

Damian B Lake MB ChB(Glas) FRCOphth |
Mr Lake is an NHS Consultant at the Corneoplastic unit and Eye bank, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. He specialises in corneal surgery, cataract surgery, intraocular lenses and laser vision correction.
Mr Lake has completed Cornea and Anterior Segment Fellowships at Moorfields Eye Unit, St George’s Hospital, London and The Corneoplastic unit and Eye bank, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
He has published numerous research articles on corneal conditions in internationally renowned journals and presented at national and international conferences. Mr Lake is also a reviewer for the European journal of Ophthalmology and The journal of Postgraduate Medicine. |
