Centre for Sight Crystalens data was presented this week at the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons in Barcelona. As providers of the Crystalens technology since 2002, Centre for Sight have the longest experience and also have performed amongst Europe's highest numbers of the procedure. The outcomes of the most recent advances of Crystalens were presented and outcomes revealed excellent depth of focus. 72% of patients were completely free of glasses.
Figures presented included recipients of both the Crystalens HD and Crystalens 5.0 with either monocular or binocular correction. Uncorrected acuities for distance, intermediate and near vision 6 months post-op were presented. Recipients ages ranged from 56 to 88 years of age.

There were no complications or adverse events. 72% reported TOTAL spectacle independence. 94% reported spectacle independence for distance vision.
The conclusion was that Crystalens provides good distance, intermediate and near vision with a high degree of patient satisfaction and safety profile.
