Centre for Sight's very first Cornea, Cataract and Refractive update was held on Wednesday, and what a success it was!

Optometrists, mostly from the Surrey and Sussex area, came to visit Centre for Sight to hear all about the latest news in the world of ophthalmology. Mr Daya, Miss Espinosa and Mr Khan, three of the Centre for Sight consultants gave highly informative lectures throughout the day, ranging from the latest on Corneal Transplantation to Post-operative Refractive care.

Not only was the day a great opportunity to gain some knowledge on the more surgical side of eye care, but a chance for fellow Optometrists working in the same local area to meet one another and to discuss there own practices.

The event did not only inform and educate but also allow CFS promote the idea of a shared care network in which the provider and Centre for Sight work closely together to ensure thorough patient satisfaction.

Towards the end of the day Mr Daya performed live laser surgery to give the attendees first hand experience of the procedure. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and many commented on just how quick the operation reall was!

The success of the day has been a big encouragment to all involved and we hope to hold many more events like it in the near future.
