In keeping with its mission, Centre for Sight conducted its 3rd education day for Optometrist. Forty optometrists, mainly from the Sussex and Surrey area visited the Centre for Sight in East Grinstead last Month for the Third Cornea, Cataract and Refractive update.
Following two successful education days in November 2009 and June 2010 the third event was filled within a week with professionals all ready to gain some knowledge on the surgical side of vision care.
Lecturers on the day were Medical Director Sheraz Daya as well as Saj Khan and Osama Giledi. A brief overview of the procedures available was given as well as some invaluable patient aftercare knowledge.
Once again live surgery was performed to demonstrate newer techniques to Optometrists. Surgery included Intralasik Wavefrpnt Aspheric laser vision correction and Cataract/Refractive lens exchange with the Oculentis M Plus multifocal implant.
Representatives from leading Japanese manufacturer of optical equipment for ophthalmology Topcon attended the event to record the surgery ready for DVD release early next year
