Marcela Espinosa-Lagana MD
DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH Specialties: Cornea, Refractive Surgery and Paediatric Ophthalmology
Dr. Espinosa is an ophthalmic surgeon who has specialty training in both Cornea and Paediatric Ophthalmology. She received her training in Mexico at the University of Guadalajara. She went on to train in Cornea, Keratorefractive and Catract surgery at CODET, Tijuana under the directorship of Arturo Chayet MD.
Dr. Espinosa furthered her interest in Paediatric ophthalmology by doing Fellowship training at Great Ormond St Hospital for Children, London where she was a locum consultant. Dr. Espinosa was previously Ad Honorem Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in Costa Rica and a medical consultant for Lasersight, a manufacturer of Excimer lasers. At Centre for Sight, Dr. Espinosa leads several investigative projects and monitors outcomes of refractive surgery. She has played a large role in the education of nursing staff and ensures high standards are maintained.

Osama Giledi FRCS
Consultant: Centre for Sight Specialties: Cornea, Refractive & Anterior Segment Surgery
Mr Giledi is a fellowship trained Corneal, Refractive and Anterior Segment surgeon. He is currently locum consultant at the Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust, East Grinstead where he deals with complex corneal problems and transplantation. His fellowship training in this subspecialty spanned 21/2 years at the Corneoplastic Unit and Eye Bank, Queen VIctoria Hospital, East Grinstead. He is experienced in diagnosis and treatment of complex corneal conditions including refractive surgery problems from other centres. Mr Giledi participates in teaching at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and has several international presentations and publications.

Saj Khan FRCS
Consultant: Centre for Sight Specialties: Cornea, Refractive & Anterior Segment Surgery
Fellowship trained in corneal, keratorefractive and anterior segment surgery, Mr Khan is experienced in dealing with a wide spectrum of complex corneal diseases. He qualified from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospitals, and developed a broad foundation in medicine as a GP trainee before commencing his ophthalmic training. As part of his ophthalmic training, Mr Khan undertook a research fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Institute of Child Health, looking at the nature and causes of visual problems experienced by children with craniosynostoses. Mr Khan also spent 18 months of his general ophthalmic training at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust before going on to complete an extended fellowship in cornea, keratorefractive and anterior segment surgery at the internationally respected Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust, East Grinstead.

Luca Ilari MD
Consultant: Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington, Kent Specialties: Cornea, Refractive & Cataract Surgery
Mr. Luca Ilari works as an NHS Consultant and Corneal Specialist at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington, Kent. His specialist training includes a Research Fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital in London on quality of vision after laser refractive surgery and two Fellowships in Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Mr Ilari has been involved in laser refractive surgery since 1999 and has published papers in a number of peer review journals. He has presented the results of his clinical research projects on cornea and refractive surgery at national and international scientific meetings.
