Trans-Lens Hydrodissection Cannula
With new technology comes new innovation. Centre for Sight surgeons are very proud to have invented a new device that cleverly assists lens removal following Victus femtosecond laser surgery. We have demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in time taken to remove the cataract.
The Victus femtosecond laser has been in use at Centre for Sight since March 2012. Having demonstrated improved precision, safety and better outcomes, ALL lens and refractive lens exchange procedures performed at Centre for Sight are now performed using the laser. Daya Trans-Lens Hydrodissection Cannula The technique and device was invented by Sheraz Daya. The device manufactured by Bausch + Lomb is now commercially available.
The technique was presented by Medical Director Sheraz Daya at the European Society of Cataract Surgery, Milan 2012 and American Academy of Ophthalmology, Chicago 2012 has received great acclaim by international surgeons.
