Famous Irish Eye Surgeon chooses Victus cataract surgery at Centre for Sight

Patrick Condon the internationally renowned eye surgeon chose Centre for Sight to have his cataract treated using the Victus femtosecond laser cataract.

Mr. Condon underwent treatment on both eyes within a couple of weeks and is now ecstatic with his vision.  Having seen Sheraz Daya operate using the Victus laser, the decision for Mr. Condon to have surgery using this technology was obvious.  “I have over the years sent patients to Sheraz and have seen amazing outcomes on very complex cases, so for me the choice of surgeon was obvious and having the laser used on my eye with no injections or needles was just an amazing experience.  I am amazed at how good my vision is so soon after surgery – just fantastic”, said Mr Condon the day after his procedure.

Mr Condon pioneered the development of LASIK in Ireland and the U.K. starting in Mater Hospital, Dublin in 1994, with previous experience in ALK. He also pioneered the development of small incision phaco cataract surgery in Ireland – Regional Eye Department, Waterford.

“It is an honour and privilege to treat Paddy Condon, an internationally renowned colleague and friend.  We are very proud to have so many doctors and their families choose Centre for Sight for their care. In just the last calendar month, 6 doctors chose Centre for Sight for their Lasik Laser Eye Surgery, Implantable Contact Lenses, Laser Lens Replacement and Laser Cataract Surgery.
