ISO 9001 Accredited Again!

Centre for Sight has been ISO 9001 certified since 2009 and goes through an annual process of renewal. We are very pleased that we have again re-certified with the new higher standard without any issues making us one of very few (two) ISO 9001 eye care providers in the UK.

Centre for Sight is dedicated to providing high quality care to patients and constantly strives to improve and exceed expectations. This means running a quality organization which constantly improves. It is very gratifying to have this externally certified to an internationally recognized standard.

The ISO 9001 has now been revised to a higher level and Centre for Sight made an early commitment to adopting the new standard and changes, Being one of the first in the segment to comply with the new ISO standard requirements, this has provided the organization with the benefit of a more mature Quality Management System which can only be good for patients and consultants using the facility.

Centre for Sight is also ISO 14001 accredited and demonstrates our social responsibility and commitment to the environment. Like ISO 9001, the certification is also subject to regular review.

Internal Organisation for Standardization (ISO)

The ISO was established over thirty years ago and is the world’s most widely recognized quality management standards. It is used to monitor and manage quality across all operations, ensuring that all statutory and regulatory standards are met. The ISO 9001 Quality Management System award encourages and rewards continual improvement in quality to enable all current and future patient’s needs are always met.

The 9001 accreditation addresses various aspects of quality management in particular ensuring products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improving. This accreditation is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus and the process for approach and continual improvement.
