Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) occurs when the oil-producing glands in the eyelids become blocked or stop functioning properly leading to evaporative dry eye. It is commonly treated with IPL therapy LLLT and eyelid hygiene as part of a personalised dry eye management plan.
