What should I expect immediately after cataract surgery?

Immediately after the procedure, the eye will be covered with a protective shield and vision may be blurred or hazy. It is normal to experience mild grittiness, watering, and light sensitivity for the first few days. Most patients are discharged on the same day and are advised to rest with the eye covered for the remainder of that day.
