10 Years of ISO Accreditation
Centre for Sight have been ISO 9001 certified since 2009 and undertakes an annual process of renewal. We are very pleased that we have again re-certified with the new higher standard making us one of very few (two) ISO 9001 eye care providers in the UK.
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 accreditation again this year! We originally got our first 14001 accreditation in 2001, so we have now held this for 20 years and we have now had ISO 27001 for the second time. A huge thank you to our Operations Director, Margaret Da Costa, and the Senior Management team for continually updating and embedding our policies.
It is these robust policies that keep our patients safe and enable us to give the award-winning eye care year-round. Centre for Sight is dedicated to providing high quality care to patients and constantly strives to improve and exceed the expectations of our patients.
ISO 9001 is a Quality Management System that ensures our services and practice meet industry standards and patient needs. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to deliver the best technology and high service within our clinics. It is also for our commitment to putting our patients needs and expectations at the forefront of our business, ensuring we have strong communication, leadership and efficiency.
Our ISO 14001 accreditation is a focus on our environmental policy and impact. We have recently become paperless in one of our clinics the drive to become paperless in our other clinics is now underway.
This drive to reduce our carbon footprint and effectively manage our environmental impact is a huge point of pride for us; with such an important focus on caring for our planet worldwide.
Further, we are proud to announce that we have also gained ISO 27001. This ensures our secure systems in place to provide the highest level of information security. Data security, including medical records, are extremely important and this standard ensures our policies and procedures reflect our commitment to this.
It is very gratifying to have this external certification from an internationally recognised standard. This means running a quality organisation which constantly improves following our mission statement:
