A little bit about The Flying Eye Hospital...

One of the most remarkable initiatives led by Orbis International is the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital — a fully equipped ophthalmic teaching hospital inside a specially converted aircraft. The plane travels to countries where access to specialist eye care is limited, bringing expert surgeons, advanced equipment and world-class training directly to local medical teams.

Inside the aircraft is a complete operating theatre, classroom and broadcast studio. Local doctors and nurses can observe complex eye surgeries in real time and receive hands-on training from international specialists. This knowledge stays within the community, helping to build long-term eye care capacity and restore sight for thousands of patients.
