Advanced Technology at Centre for Sight

At Centre for Sight, advanced technology is used to make eye surgery safer, more precise and more personalised for every patient.

Modern ophthalmology relies on sophisticated imaging systems and laser technologies that allow surgeons to analyse the eye in extreme detail before treatment. This helps our ophthalmologists design procedures tailored to each patient’s unique eye structure.

Technology at Centre for Sight

At Centre for Sight, advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies are used together to ensure that every eye treatment is precisely planned and safely performed. Before surgery, detailed imaging systems analyse the structure of the eye, including the cornea, lens and optical characteristics, allowing surgeons to create a personalised treatment plan for each patient. Technologies such as Pentacam and Orbscan IIz generate high-resolution 3D maps of the cornea, helping specialists assess eye health and determine the most suitable procedure. During treatment, advanced laser platforms including the Victus Femtosecond Laser Platform and the Technolas Zyoptix allow surgeons to perform extremely precise, computer-guided procedures for vision correction and cataract surgery. By combining sophisticated diagnostics with highly accurate laser technology, Centre for Sight is able to deliver safer, more personalised eye care with improved visual outcomes for patients.

Diagnostics

As a premium eye care clinic we take pride in providing the best care to patients from around the world, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, doctors and their families. Many patients with complex and challenging issues are referred to us for specialised care.

At Centre for Sight we often use several different devices to measure the same thing e.g corneal shape and eye length. We do this to ensure there is no error whatsoever – a bit of a “belt and braces” approach.

It is not possible to detail every technology available however after a consultation at Centre for Sight you will be absolutely confident about the standards of care being provided and experience the technology yourself. Once all tests are performed, surgeons will evaluate the information, examine your eyes and come up with a customised / tailored treatment plan to suit you and each eye.

Centre for Sight recently contributed to diagnostic evaluation with newly devised report created with industry leader Nidek. A diagnostic report / printout from the Nidek OPD III helps guide the surgeon in terms of what operation is best along with what type of implant as well as how this should be orientated.

More about our Technology

See below for more information on our technology.

Centre for Sight surgeons have been developing new techniques and technology for 20+ years. This includes instrumentation for Lasik laser eye surgery, corneal transplantation and more recently femtosecond laser cataract surgery. A new technique “Translenticular Hydrodissection” was developed at Centre for Sight and has helped surgeons worldwide perform laser cataract and lens replacement surgery. CFS Innovations.

The actual laser treatment takes only 15-30 minutes per eye. However, plan to spend 2-3 hours at our centre for pre-operative preparation, the procedure itself, and initial recovery monitoring. Most patients are surprised by how quick and comfortable the experience is.
