How do I instil eye drops correctly during cataract surgery recovery?

To instil eye drops, tilt your head back, gently pull the lower eyelid down to create a small pocket, and let one drop fall into the pocket without touching the dropper to your eye or eyelashes. Close the eye gently for one to two minutes after instillation. If using multiple drops, wait at least five minutes between each type to prevent dilution.
