Laser Lens Replacement (LLR), also known as refractive lens exchange, involves replacing the eye’s natural lens with an advanced artificial intraocular lens (IOL). It is a particularly suitable treatment for patients with long sightedness who are over 40 or who are not candidates for laser eye surgery. Because the natural lens is removed, it also eliminates any risk of cataracts developing in the future. Premium multifocal or extended depth-of-focus lenses can be used to restore clear vision at a range of distances. Centre for Sight offers this procedure at their purpose-built hospital facilities in Oxshott and East Grinstead.
