Susan Smith

Susan from Maidstone, Kent was very short-sighted however after undergoing Laser Lens Replacement surgery with Mr Sheraz Daya, she no longer wears glasses. This treatment has given her freedom. She was delighted to share her Centre for Sight experience.

What was your vision like before surgery, and how did it affect your life?

I was very short sighted, and didn’t enjoy wearing glasses or contact lenses anymore. I struggled and didn’t like waking up – not being able to see. I wanted to start swimming again but didn’t like the idea of not being able to see clearly in the water.

Going on holiday and being in the sun I had to take different glasses with me, and simply while using a computer at work made my eyes tired.

Why did you choose to have your Laser Lens Replacement procedure at Centre for Sight?

Everyone was really nice and helpful. I don’t remember much of the surgery other than being asked to look into the light.

I had no pain or soreness, I did what I was told and it has been brilliant.

I had a patch on each eye after the procedure, one on the Monday and the other on the Wednesday.

My eye-sight is really good now and I’m very happy with it.

I had to go on holiday immediately after the procedure.

Centre for Sight staff called me to check how my vision was and every time they were really helpful and lovely.

After Lens Replacement Surgery…

I’m already planning another holiday now – best part is I don’t have to worry about glasses. It’s given my freedom back.

Everyone has been really helpful and nice and provided me with all the information I needed. Thank you very much, it was almost like a miracle.
